ARCHDIOCESE OF LILONGWE CELEBRATES THE APPOINTMENT OF ITS AUXILIARY BISHOP

Very Reverend Father Vincent Fredrick Mwakhwawa, Bishop-elect

On November 15th 2023, Pope Francis appointed Very Reverend Fr. Vincent Frederick Mwakhwawa as the Auxiliary Bishop of Lilongwe Archdiocese.

The Right reverend was chosen at a time when he was a parish priest for Maula Cathedral, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Lilongwe and as a Pontifical Mission Societies’ national coordinator.

The consecration ceremony of the bishop elect will be on 20th January 2024 at Civo Stadium in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe from 09:00 hours.

On 18th November, the Archdiocese of Lilongwe held a party for the Archbishop’s birthday and to congratulate the bishop elect at Maula premises.
