The faithful of Maula Cathedral in the Catholic Archdiocese of Lilongwe formally concluded the Mission Month and Rosary Month of October on Friday, 31st October 2025, with special prayers and a call to continued devotion.
The closing observance, which capped the Church’s traditional month dedicated to the propagation of faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother, was held at the Maula Grotto.
During the gathering, Mr. Peter Chando, the Liturgy Committee Chairperson at Maula Parish, encouraged attendees to sustain the spiritual momentum generated throughout the month.
"October is the Mission Month and the Rosary Month, the month in which Christians pray the Rosary every day as one way of deepening their faith," Chando stated. "I encourage the gathering to continue praying the Rosary every day—in the community, in their homes, and in various groups."
He emphasized the powerful role of prayer in addressing the needs of the community and fostering unity.
He concluded with a simple but profound message: "Let us love each other and pray the Rosary every day."
